Scholarships & Financial Aid

A Guide to

paying for college infographic march 201

There are a lot of different opportunities available to help you pay for college! Scholarships and financial aid programs are both great tools to help you finance your education.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Scholarships are merit-based financial awards that help you pay your college expenses without ever needing to repay the funds, so long as you maintain the guidelines set-forth by the scholarship committee.

  • Grants are need based financial awards that colleges can provide to help you pay essential college expenses, including tuition, room and board, and books.

  • Student loans are a financial aid service that you can work with to cover any remaining costs of your schooling or life expenses during your time in school. You are required to repay all student loans, but are often permitted to delay repayment until you have completed school.
